Update - after posting several reviews and even contacting the store directly, still no response. I completely give up on ever shopping here again.

Dunham's or Fleet Farm it is for firearms. I'd rather drive a little further away than be treated like a piece of ***.

Their firearms department has been horrible for a few years now. Bought a cheaper shotgun there and was treated like a 2nd class citizen. It's understaffed as *** and the staff is complete *** arrogant as all get out.

They continually suck. Never have product in stock.... No ammo... Over priced cheap Chinese 511 and Under Armour ***... Over priced firearms... Ever try to buy crossbow gear ??? End up waiting in line at checkout with one American with Disability's guy clerking ... drooling in a wheelchair. I'll pay 10$ more at Amazon. These guys just don't get it.

Yup, this store has sucked major *** for a few years. I'll never spend a single time in there again.

They have nothing but arrogant little *** working in the Firearms department, and who ever is managing that place should be fired immediately. I can't wait until that location goes out of business, because quite honestly, they deserved it.

I've been a manager before in a industry that did things far, far more complex than this.

Their manager has zero pride, and its reflected in their *** prices that don't match the website, their complete lack of respect of the customer and their horrendous staff.

Amazon and Academy are my two online go-to options for my hunting/shooting/outdoor needs and then Palmetto State Armory.com, Mill's Fleet Farm and Dunham's are the go-to places I purchase firearms from. I painstakingly purchased from Gander, thinking it would be better after several years...boy I could have been more incorrect.

Ignored at counter while talking with friend. | Gander Mountain review from Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Visited Gander Mtn. at the Waukesha, WI store about 2 pm. on11 April to buy a $500.00 plus 9mm handgun and stood at the counter while the salesman told the customer his order could be picked up tomorrow. They then proceeded to chew the fat about the customer's grandkid, etc, for 10 minutes while I stood about 5 feet from them. I was never asked if I needed help, or stated he would be with me in a minute, etc.. Obviously I left, since they were not interested in selling me the handgun and keeping me as a customer. On leaving, a girl asked if I found what I wanted and I said, "No, and I'm not happy that they were just shooting the sh.. and not interested in selling me a gun." She didn't bother to ask if she could be of help either or straighten out the problem. Big surprise there, it seems. The company lost a sale and a customer by their incompetence and uncaring attitude. (Their loss, not mine--just the time wasted)

Pro plan for firearms | Gander Mountain review from Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I bought a new Desert Eagle and the first time I fired it the front sight flew off. Returned it under the "Protection Plan" to get the new sight put on. Gander claimed it would be 2-3 weeks. Two weeks go buy and I call for an update and no one knew anything. I wrote to the company and they responded with a call. They claimed they ordered the part and would have it done as soon as they could. A few days later I get another call asking me if I could bring the part that I previously ordered since they were not sure how long or even availability of the part. They claimed it could be weeks before they get to it. I told them to send it back and now I'm getting the runaround on when they will have it. I seems all they want to to is give me a new date and time just to get me to go away. No one really seems to know when Ill actually get the gun back. I don't recommend using any of Gander's gunsmith services or the "Protection Plan"

That pro plan actually gan save your *** when you have a serious problem like your chamber explodes & you have to ship the gun back to Israel, that'll set you back about $180 just to ship it through fed ex, although it does suck they dont have the scheduling down, you gotta keep in mind they do the best they can with what they have, only certain employees have the authorization for direct manufacturer contact, so at times it gets a bit difficult.
