I purchased a tent from Gander Mountain in Flint, MI. in June.
My family has an annual camping trip at the beginning of August, so I had not used the tent since then. It was a $300, 10 person tent. Advertised as a high quality tent. Upon doing my initial set-up my wife and I noticed the material of the bottom of the tent.
To start with the color (white) it already looks like I have been using it for 10 years because how stained it is. Also noticed was the thickness of the bottom, it was as thick as the side walls. It was my experience that tents have a thicker material used for the bottom. This usually helps with foot traffic and especially preventing puncture from the elements (rocks and sticks).
We are so disappointed. Since the company is now closing down, does anyone know if I have any options to be a satisfied customer?
