Lying used car salesman tactics | Gander Mountain in Fenton, Missouri

Update by user Jul 11, 2014

Recieved a call from the store manager. He assured me I hadn't been intentionally misled.

I guess I believe him, but he offered no help or reimbursement. Still never shopping there again.

Fenton, MO 7/10/14 I called, spoke to Kyle in firearms. Was assured a glock 31 gen 4 was in stock. I even said "wow, no one else has it, are you sure?" Kyle was sure. Drove 1.5 hours only to have Kyle not remember me but say he might have it. About 10 minutes later he suddenly remebered having sold it just before I arrived, then tried to sell me a different gun or special order the model he claimed they stock. Lied on he phone then again to my face. 2 emails to corporate and a call to he store manager have gone unreturned. Liars and cheats! Wasted me a tank of gas.

Gander Mountain - Manager Review from Lakewood, Colorado

Given a gift that was purchased at gander mountain. Went in to return. They pulled item up from skew I'd and said only indoor credit for it as we had no receipt. Then manager came to authorize and refused because she couldn't see that specific item as sold from her store. We explained that it was a gift and showed where the barcode showed item as there's. She didn't deny that it was there product. Only that it didn't come from her exact store. She refused to take back and nullified in store credit for the return. Terrible customer service

Rebate not Honored | Gander Mountain in New Hartford, New York

On 11/3/2014 I placed a Remington Enhances 1911 on layway. The gun was marked $849 under the price was an asterisk followed by "after Gander mail in rebate". 2 Days later I came in and paid for the gun, had it put on my permit and went back to pick it up. I asked what I had to do for the rebate, the clerk said there's no rebate on this gun. I explained what was on the tag when I purchased it. He said He would look to see if there had been a rebate on that gun. A few minutes later He returned and informed me there was no rebate nor had there been on that gun. I thought maybe I made a mistake and left with the weapon. When I got home I went onto the gander web site and lo and behold there had been a rebate that ended on 11/2/2014. The next morning I called the store and spoke to the manager explained everything as I have stated above and in a very polite way was told to stuff it. Tough luck. I have bought 14 handguns from that Gander over the last 4 years and several rifles , never again. It's not the $100 it's that they value my business so little. I hope Bass Pro has a better attitude.

The Store isnt responsible for the rebates, it is the company's issue

Went to my local Gender Mountain (Palm Beach Gardens) and bough a screen enclosure from bugs. Went camping with it one day and the screen enclosure wasn’t able to withstand 10mi wind. It was blown away twice and I had to take it down all together. Went to return the...

Did you use stakes? Generally any tent structure needs to be staked down in windy environments.

Gander Mountain...Miss priced product

Tried to buy a Ruger SR-22 rifle which was priced at 279.99. Filled out all the paper work and was about to check out when they decided the gun was 549.99. They claimed the gun had been priced wrong and would not honor the price tag that was actually on the gun. That in my opinion is false advertisement and they should have honored the price tag on the gun. The service associate agreed with me but the manager said he would loose his job if he honored that price. I will not do business with Gander Mountain anymore. Hello Academy!
