Went in found water ski on clearance asked sales person if it was a slalom ski. He told me yes so l bought it. Got home only to find out that there should be two. Went back to return and they would not give me money back. Management was rude. Now i why they are closing and reopening under new name. I spent a lot of money there in past years. I will not set foot in new store. All over a measly $35.00 dollars. Now that's bad business.

I was shopping for a double tap 45acp that is in your weekly flyer at the Tampa store on Hillsborough Ave. there was a discrepancy in the flyer add from the online price. Bayley the sales person assisting me went on her radio to ask about it. The manager Dennis came over asking what was wrong. He was extremely rude to me the customer, I can only imagine how he treats the employees. If it weren't for Bayley's professionalism I would have walked out.

One of the most negative experiences I have had with a store. My sister gave me a nice sweatshirt for Christmas. I have one like it so wanted a different color. The tag was in it at a cost of $49 plus change and they were selling the same one for that price. The clerk told me because I didn't have receipt I could only get a $19.95 product. They had some sweatshirts on sale for $29 plus change so I paid the extra. I took it to the truck and went back to look at things and go to the bathroom. I noticed the $19 sweatshirts were junk so I decided to take back the one I brought in. The clerk couldn't figure it out so a guy (seemed to be a manager) came up and a girl (very nice) came up to help and he said " I'm just trying to get him out the door". Thank goodness for ***'s and Bass Pro as I will not go one of these stores again. the store I went to was in Oldsmar, FL

I had a "district Manager" call on September 25th. 18 days after I was told someone would call within 24-48 hours.

He stood his ground and said that managers use their own discretion on any returns. I told him as a customer, I will be using my discretion on where I shop and I nor any of my family will ever step foot in a Gander Mountain again.

There is a bigger issue here now, this company has shown that Customer Service is NOT their priority. And thus in that has lost another customer.

Just left the Lake Mary Florida store to return a real tree bathing suit after having it on and getting wet, the bathing suit stretched to the point of me holding it up. I read the return policy, nothing about bathing suits. Went to the store, cashier just needed manager approval the manager said absolutely not since it was hygiene issue. I explained their return policy and that I was not returning it because I didn't like it. He read the return policy went to the register and then looked me in the eye handed me the receipt and said I am not going to do it. He said he didn't care what the return policy was that he has discretion. I called the customer service number and they said the same thing, although NO where on the receipt or website or in store says that. She said it was up to the mangers to do what they want. I have never been more disappointed in a store. I will NOT step foot into another GM rest assure and I will let all my friends know what happened.

Interesting to hear that Gander Mountain has some rather arrogant people working for it. The manager's reasoning lacks in common sense, given what happened. Best to stay away from GM and shop at Cabela's, tho make sure you never shop at ***'s Sporting Goods after how they treated people who ordered stuff a few years ago and then arbitrarily cancelled all their orders in an attempt to become politically correct.

I still just can not believe it, he was a ***. No other words, He did not care what their return policy said nor the fact that it is not posted anywhere.

I will NEVER step foot in there again.

I wish we had a Cabela's here, we don't but we do have a Bass Pro and I have never had an issue with them. EVER!

Wanted to buy a firearm, I live far away from the store. Bought one, then went to pick it up after 3 day hold, guy talked me out of it. Left store without gun, went back after doing more research and said I want it still, now it's past the 30 days I had to pick it up, have to reapply, didn't have time, left store....went back to store, looked again, guy said don't buy it, go rent a gun somewhere to make sure, left..decided I wanted the gun I purchased, called a few weeks later said is it still there, yes, still here, traveled again to get the paperwork done again and wait 3 days again, oh, they mailed you a check back for the gun, can't hold it that long..uh, no they haven't, yes they did, can't help you. Salesman acted like my receipt was a fraud since they supposedly mailed me a check....Why would they tell me on the phone it's still here waiting for you and then that they mailed me a check? Can't get the gun though I've been to the store 7 times. Now I have to call and find out who, what, where they sent the supposed refund...I'm sure this person will tell me they sent the check and I cashed it. I think they are scammers. bottom line...buy somewhere else. A company who puts you thru such *** doesn't deserve your money! Bud's sell online....no hassles

Be informed yourself, good God you were wishy-washy. Sure they should have told you after so long your money would get returned to you...but come on...make a decision and just stand by it.
