Will never buy from this site again. I will buy from WalMart before I buy anything from gander mountain again. At least they will stand by the products they sell. I bought a product from gander mountain and used it three times and it stopped working, carried it back they replaced it with a demo because they didn't have any new ones and told me if I had any issues bring it back. This one quit working. This time they acted like they didn't care of they could help me. The sales man, Gunny was great but the girl at the register and the manager, Chris. Acted like they could have a *** if they had my business or not. This was a $350 product. I have spent a about two thousand dollars or more at GM in the most year and a half. I won't spend another penny with them and none of my family needs to get me a gift from their again either.

You neglect to say what the product was. Your beef should be with the product's manufacturer, not Gander Mountain---after all, they did replace it once.

They cannot continue to do that, you know. You should have checked the warranty terms and contacted the manufacturer after the second one failed.

Cabelas is soooo *** expensive now a days so i go with gander mountain because their online stores has everything, their store though needs improving because they need a wider variety in store. I give them a 7 out of 5 great store though.

Gander Mountain - Compound Bow Review from Atlanta, Georgia

Purchased a compound bow for around 400 dollars. Less than two weeks later a part breaks off the cam and the draw length is gone. I took the bow back to be repaired. Nobody in the store could tell me how much parts and labor would cost. It's been over a week now and the bow is still not repaired. While I was waiting around for someone to talk too I looked at the guns. They wanted 600 dollars for a used Citadel 1911 Tactical. The same gun I purchased new for much less. I can't help but to feel like they ripped me off on the bow as well.

Worst bow shop ever | Gander Mountain review from Richland Center, Wisconsin

have had my parker bow at gander mountain in Baraboo wi over a month just to get restrung still is not done they called last week to pick it up had the wrong string on it has 60 to 70 lb limbs draw was over 80 bow "tech" has no clue whats wrong i had to look up the write string for my bow the one they put on was two inchs to long i call them every day they have no one working on bows untill 1 in the after noon and must leave by five because no one can find anybody in the bow dept after 5 last bow i will buy there last purchase there period cant wait to see my bill if it ever gets done tech just has no clue

Walked into the store about a year ago stand by the firearms counter for 15 minutes and was ignore by every single guys behind the counter. So told myself this place will never earn my business. Came back (involuntary I was stuck with a friend) he try to purchase a gun. After 2 days wait for background check came back they asked him to paid for the gun, transactions complete and oops they said the SSN was mixed up and they have to resubmitted. 2 days later came back and it's all done, but this time the manager just let us stand there over an hours so he can take care of someone else came after us (I guess he clearly had the brighter skin) not to mention everytime we get there it's alway over 2 hours. It's ok Gander I don't need you guy to contact us and try to hand out free stuffs. Just simple as I don't ever ever spend a penny on your business you guys are over price your product anyway. Not to mention your employees accuse academy sell illegal gun. Lol, good luck Gander y'all be out of business soon

Lol so you went to Gander to buy two of the cheapest, garbage guns on the market. Both of them together couldn't run more than five hundred.

And then went to Academy and paid 3100... That's impressive.

If you had 3100 to spend, and knew anything about guns at all you wouldn't be buying a hi point. Your an idot

Last Fall I talked to Gander Mountain in Semmes, Al about sponsoring, or doing a donation to our Children First PTO Fall Fundraiser. I was told they would be glad to, but needed a good 6-8 weeks notice. So this year they were remembered... we went to them with tax deductible forms and what it was for. They said they would be glad to help! We also went to them with a 7-8 weeks notice! After not hearing back from them...we started calling...Only to be put on hold, then told they'd have to call us back...they were busy! Today is October 1st and our Fall Festival is the 8th! I called again and said Id like to speak with a manager...Then I was informed that they were sorry, but that they had some management changes and the paper work must have been lost and not turned in! Im furious! No one either time I, nor the other person that went in was told that we had to go to their website. Only that they would be glad to assist and they took our paperwork with a smile! My experience with Gander Mountain, both in-store and online in Montgomery, AL has been terrible. My first visit into Gander Mountain in Montgomery Alabama was December 2014 in which condition I was shopping for a hand held GPS unit to help me cut a property line through some brush and for various other things. After being in the store for 3 hours, the retail store and manager finally figured out how to turn the dang unit on. After another hour of no one in the store being able to demonstrate how the product worked, I settled for a compass for 19.99 (which has worked great). Fast forward to August 8th, a family member called this location to verify a certain game camera was in-stock so she could come by and purchase it; she lives over an hour away and the associate confirmed they had it. After arriving, she was told that they did not have it in stock, and as a matter of fact they had no fitting the criteria in stock (cellular game camera).So while in the store, she ordered the only one they could get online from Gander Mountain which was a cool $250 more dollars. She was lied too and told she would also need to purchase an SD Card (this camera came with a free card) and had to pay overnight shipping in order to not wait 7-10 business days (my birthday was on the 11th and she wanted to give it to me on my birthday...obviously). After paying for overnight shipping, the camera arrived on the 14th, (yeah, not overnight I know). I placed the Spypoint Live3g (that was purchased total for around $650.00) in the woods on the 21st, and on the 22nd the batteries were dead. So I called Gander Mountain in Montgomery AL to verify if they had the solar panel for this camera in stock, which they said they did. However, upon arriving at the store and waiting another hour, retail associates could not find the solar panel. As a matter of fact, the same retail manager that tried to help me the first time also helped me this time and felt so bad she gave me like a 30% discount on batteries for the camera. I also purchased the solar panel which we had to order online from Gander Mountain while in the store. That evening I go to my brand spanking new, $650 Spypoint Live3G camera to put more batteries in it, and it no longer comes on...completely dead, new batteries and all. So I called Gander Mountain in Montgomery that evening and told them my dilemma; I was given this camera for my birthday, I no longer have the box, and the friend who purchased it for me, cannot find the receipt. All she did have was her order confirmation from Gander Mountain that they emailed to her when she purchased the camera. So I now proceed back to Gander Mountain for the 3rd time ever to swap the camera out. After 1.5 hours in the Montgomery Alabama location, they finally find the "product number" to refund and Gander Mountains system states they sell the camera for only $350 (yeah, that’s $300 less than what my friend paid less 30 days prior). After arguing and threatening to call whomever that will listen, the lady changes the price (to what the order confirmation receipt from Gander Mountain stated that Gander Mountain sold my friend the camera for), they issued me a gift card for that amount and all is well. Not so fast my friend! On August 29th, I find a different camera on Gander Mountains online site, the Covert Blackhawk cellular game camera, call in, speak to an associate and order the camera. She did state that the camera would need to be shipped straight from the manufacturer and that it could "take 2 weeks." Fine. Well, she lied, and I have come to expect this now out of Gander Mountain. Today, September 16, 2015 I call Gander Mountain customer service to check the status, after all, it’s been 2.5 weeks. Guess what, this new very nice young lady tells me my camera was on back order, and it will be October 2, 2015 before it ships and it could take 7-10 days from that day; all total 1.5 months for Gander Mountain to get an almost $400 game camera to me. The associate I purchased the camera from on August 29, 2015 made zero mention about back order; else I would have ordered a different camera. Gander Mountain stinks; save yourself time and stress, you can get better service from even Walmart. I will never shop at Gander Mountain again, and I will certainly tell everyone I know to not get bamboozled by this rag-tag company. Signed, disgusted FORMER customer.

Delayed crosbow service | Gander Mountain review from Shelbyville, Indiana

I recently bought a Barnett crossbow from them, and it has worked very well. Unfortunately I cut the string and I had to take it in for repair, they said it would be a week or two. Its been three weeks. We called them and our call was put on hold for several minutes. When they finally picked up they said it would be ready another week from now. No way it would take this long for a STRING. Overall ridiculous wait time. Bad customer service, do not go there looking for a repair. From personal experience they have been very inexperienced workers, and they were very disorganized and slow. The firearms rep was working with us at the time and the bowyer was working on something else. The customer service is terribly bad. At least the coverage plan they have is good.

Barnett has a history of long wait times for parts. Especially this time of year heading into most hunting seasons.

Having the same problem with the St. Augustine, Florida store. The minimum time for phone hold is around 25 minutes.

First off lemme start by saying I and my friends were excited to see a Gander Mountain going up in Tulsa Oklahoma. BUT, today will be the last time I set foot in that store. They may be the largest firearms retailer in the U.S. But they DO NOT know how to even print out a simple hunting listened or give me a straight answer on the Federal Duck stamp I was needing.. Cashier..uhh No we don't have those...if this was the 1st time or if the CUSTOMER SRVICE cashier would be more focused on helping me get in and out at even a snails pace. No, not only did she try several times to "IDK" me from the Empty counter counter..but she left when we had finally arrived at the "print 1" button and she would've had my hard earned money gladly. After to long for anybody with anything else to do but pop in a get a simple liscence could wait I grabbed my ID and drove over to Academy.(which is close to my house). Parked..walked in to BUSY customer service counter, got my waterfowl package an I was done!! I've gone to the gander mountain Tulsa store 4 times and 3 were for purchases. Never again...the same problem has re occurred on all 3 purchasing trips...good thing I didn't trade my AR for that sweet new Super Nova ya'll had. Oh well..guess I'll get that to at Academy,or Bass Pro...I was literally your first and last customer as off today and probably all my pals. If you wanna sell guns and the cramp everyone else sells at least have Desent plan for selling it. When I called the manager he acted like we got cut off and said he "had none what was going on and they hope to fix it soon"..psh..ya right.

Didn't get resolved and me and about 20 other folks will never spend a dime there again. Rather give my money to any other place than Gander Mountain.
