We 're big fans! I think our new store in Westchester Ohio is beautiful..the employees are courteous and helpful to the inth degree and prices are spot in (love the promotions too). We've purchased four guns since you've opened and wanted to thank you by name for the assistance of one Michael Barhost in that dept. First of all the guy is a walking gun encyclopedia..had "endless patience " with our many dumb questions and in spite of being ill with pneumonia was on the job for you guys! Unbelievable guy! The guy is a gem with his law enforcement background and we were impressed . He helped us make informed decisions, was concerned we take advantage of all promotions being offered, was there for his other associates and in short was a phenomenal representative of your company. Thanks for hiring such a quality individual. We appreciate the way we were treated but we could see that this was simply part of who this individual is! The Worst Buying Experience Ever | Gander Mountain review from Dallas, Texas

I purchased a Smith & Wesson MP-15 online at 7:50 AM before our local store opened. Got a confirmation email saying the sale went through. I got another email an hour later saying to come by and get the gun before 12/25 or the order would be cancelled. A couple of hours later, an email came to me canceling the order. An hour online and all I got was excuses and lies. I then called the store and spoke with the manager who said they still had the rifles and I could come by and pick one up. I went immediately after work only to wait for over an hour for the sales team to go from 24 to my number 26. I was then told no stock offered to order in 3-5 days, then told out of stock nationwide. Spoke with manager on duty who told me she wouldn't talk to me. Terrible service, terrible attitude, terrible place of business, never going back.

There Bow Repair COMPLETLEY SUCKS | Gander Mountain review from Winona, Minnesota

So about 4 months ago i took my bow into get the peep sight replaced. and that took them 4 weeks to get my bow back to me and when i did get it back the entire cable was off the main pulley so i had to take it back to get it fixed and that took another 2 weeks. just realizing now that the silencers i had on the bow are now missing, wish i realized that back then. now i took my sisters bow because the main place i go to get it fixed was close so i took it to gander mountain because i thought maybe mine was just a fluke and it wouldn't happen if it took it again. boy was i wrong. all i asked them to do was add a pep sight, D-loop, some silencers, and loosen the draw strength. well it took them 3 weeks to finally call me that it was done. and all they did was add the D-loop and loosen the draw. the said they were not for sure what i wanted to do with the silencers and that they couldn't do the pep sight. there explanation for why they couldn't do it faster was they were waiting for more string for the D-loop but when we dropped it off we picked the color and the reel of string was full. and also the peep sight i brought in for them to put on it they lost it and would not give me any sort accommodation. and the total cost for adding a D-loop and loosening the draw was $8 and to me that is over priced. I will NEVER go to gander mountain EVER again for any Bow (ANYTHING)

So I placed an order at hear before thanksgiving and hear it is 9 days before Christmas and have not received anything but them posing on my account yesterday that they had canceled one of my shirts! so I called today to try and find out if I could even get the rest of my thing and they can not even insure me that I will be getting that I will never buy from this sight ever aging because they cant even tell you if you will be able to receive something that you have bought much less when you will have it at your house. defiantly the worst sight that I have ever in my life order from!!!!

I had ordered a carhart sweatshirt one for my husband and dad. I received the same size for both. When I called customer service I explained the situation and asked if she could mail out the correct size and the other one would be returned she told me the only way to get one was to order another one she was very rude about it! Absolute Worst Customer Service! | Gander Mountain review from Rockford, Illinois

Last several visits the store has been understaffed; unable to check-out customers timely and serving customers out of turn. More often than not and the last 4 visits there is always some Boy Scout troop, soccer team,baseball team etc. soliciting for so etching which, although very nobel of Gamder, an irritant at best for a customer of Gander. Icing in the cake was yesterday, went to use a $10 card from Pheasants Forever. Just wanting to use the card up, one box of .22 rang up for $9.99 before tax. The cashier said I could not use it because my purchase was under $10.00. ONE PENNY. While I was waiting to check out, the cashier had a return that need manager approval, he called for a manager 3 times while I waited in lline, no show. After my "decline" to use my $10 card I asked to see a manager, again, no show. I left. Subsequently called the store 30 minutes later to discuss my situation. I was on-hold for approx 5 minutes before I was transferred around, the 5 minutes after that I finally talked to a manager. I also called out that the store is always understaffed. The managers response was because of ISIS, they are busy. I was unaware the Gander manager training program included a political science degree. Additionally, a manager training program should include how to handle customers instead of telling them how busy they are. I told the manager I hope they are so busy they sell out the whole store because I certainly won't be back. I normally receive several hundred dollars worth of Gander gift cards each holiday, I have since contacted my family members and asked for no Gander cards; frankly I would prefer no gift if that was all that was available. Bottom line, one penny, one lousy red cent, a manager who,thinks he understands politics, economics and consumer purchasing behavior coupled with several irritating factors and you lost a loyal customer. I would like a phone call from either a district manager or VP of sales (815) xxx-xxxx if this so important. I will assume no phone call means Gander Management really does not care. Emailed Gander on 12-13-15; no phone call as of 12-16-15

Gander Mountain - Mossberg Shotgun Review from Norwood, North Carolina

Went to the Raleigh NC store looking for a Mossberg after calling the store to confirm they had what I wanted. No surprise they didn't have what I wanted when I arrived. The worst part is that the people working there had no clue about the products they were selling. Let me note, this all happened after taking a deli style ticket to be waited on which took 36 min. During that time I watched a sales people sell firearms and accessories to people that were totally incorrect for the application they wanted the product for. Never going to return to that or any other gander mountain again. They demonstrate a willingness to let incompetence rule the floor when they sell firearms and this is reckless and dangerous.

Update - after posting several reviews and even contacting the store directly, still no response. I completely give up on ever shopping here again.

Dunham's or Fleet Farm it is for firearms. I'd rather drive a little further away than be treated like a piece of ***.

Their firearms department has been horrible for a few years now. Bought a cheaper shotgun there and was treated like a 2nd class citizen. It's understaffed as *** and the staff is complete *** arrogant as all get out.
