Don't buy from Gander Mtn! Don't buy from Gander Mtn!

I can't even begin to tell you what a screw up they have been. Ordered a Liberty gun save. Received no invoice or tracking number. Had to contact them to find out what was happening.

Finally was told it was on back order. Two months later they delivered the safe. I swear they sent out the keystone cops to install it! It was a disaster!

Their delivery people messed the safe up by laying it on its side and now it is a useless piece of junk! We called and complained and they were supposed to get back with us and guess what, they didn't! We had to run them down and finanally canceled the whole order and asked for a refund.

Yep, you're right we had to chase them down to get our money back. I will never, never, never do business with Gander Mountain again!

In November I went to gander mt store in flint picked up a few items 84 dollars worth!!filled out the credit card app paid cash they also charged the credit card 2 months later gettin calls from creditors want me to pay I'm askin for what? My life been a living *** ever since!!

Yea. I paid my bill, by phone , on time, and over one half of what I owed using a debit card. I was told "There is a $9 fee for customer service" Gee, what service. What percentage of my total bill is $9. Well, it's over 21%. ( and that's each time I pay with a debit card over the phone.) OK. So this goes very far to speak of the kind of company your dealing with. "Let the buyer beware" . A good line of advise. I'll never do business again with this ripoff organization. To pay $9 for the...."privilege" of doing business with them is a price too much. Never again!

Bought a stoeger sxs in dec, 2015. Had no problem with the purchase. After a few shots I noticed the choke an threads were damaged.i checked them for tightness beforehand. Sent it back over a month ago an there saying it could be a few more weeks.if it takes this long to fix something this minor I'm sure it would take forever if it was major. Anyways I'm not impressed with the service department one bit.so take you sweet time with it now, fix it right. Seasons over.more than likely to make my next gun purchase somewhere else. So have a nice day and keep drag *** around an see how that works out !!!!!

Lol as if they can control how long it takes the manufactor to fix the issue and ship it back. Standard turn around time from a firearm manufactor for repair is minimum 6 to 8 weeks. Sounds like you need to learn patience.

Deceptive Practices.

I ordered two boxes of ammo from Gander Mountain that was shown as IN STOCK on the web page. I immediately got an email confirming my order again stating the item was IN STOCK and a delivery date within a few days, and that shipping would be within 24 hours. After the 24 hours were up, I had no confirmation of shipping and a tracking number. I chatted online to get the status of my order. I gave my order number and address to the "customer service" person who found my order. I was then informed the item was OUT OF STOCK and was back-ordered and was "expected" in a few weeks. I questioned why my confirmation email stated IN STOCK and had a delivery date of a few days. I was told that the ammo was sold out very quickly, sorry. I cancelled my order (FIRST and LAST with Gander Mountain) at that point. The very next day I got an email from Gander Mountain advertising the exact same ammo, stating it was IT STOCK. I immediately went to their web site and it was listed as OUT OF STOCK. Seem like they are a dishonest bunch and I will not do business with them in the future. I'd strongly advise others to avoid Gander Mountain.

I have also had this occur many times with CCI Mini-Mags I have ordered from them. They frequently cancel orders and say they went out of stock before it was pulled from inventory. Gander is the worst retailer I have ever done business with!

We 're big fans! I think our new store in Westchester Ohio is beautiful..the employees are courteous and helpful to the inth degree and prices are spot in (love the promotions too). We've purchased four guns since you've opened and wanted to thank you by name for the assistance of one Michael Barhost in that dept. First of all the guy is a walking gun encyclopedia..had "endless patience " with our many dumb questions and in spite of being ill with pneumonia was on the job for you guys! Unbelievable guy! The guy is a gem with his law enforcement background and we were impressed . He helped us make informed decisions, was concerned we take advantage of all promotions being offered, was there for his other associates and in short was a phenomenal representative of your company. Thanks for hiring such a quality individual. We appreciate the way we were treated but we could see that this was simply part of who this individual is! I bought a micro av got it home first one would not work at all (wrong language on screen)

Got a new one with summit protection plan 2yrs.

It Had a faulty cable returned to summit service department and got it back saying nothing wrong with it 8 days later.

took it out of box and turned it on and the cable was not even looked at as soon as i took out 2 ft of cable picture went out again.

I don,t think they looked at it at all.

Called them now the waiting game begins again.

I told them from the start it was the cable (just send me a cable)

Think now i just wont my money back

If they do not fix it for you contact Aqua-Vu direct and they will take care of it right away, their customer service is amazing. Also check Aqua-Vu's Youtube channel, they have trouble shooting videos. Sometimes the cable is not all the way plugged in even though it seems like it is.

One of the most negative experiences I have had with a store. My sister gave me a nice sweatshirt for Christmas. I have one like it so wanted a different color. The tag was in it at a cost of $49 plus change and they were selling the same one for that price. The clerk told me because I didn't have receipt I could only get a $19.95 product. They had some sweatshirts on sale for $29 plus change so I paid the extra. I took it to the truck and went back to look at things and go to the bathroom. I noticed the $19 sweatshirts were junk so I decided to take back the one I brought in. The clerk couldn't figure it out so a guy (seemed to be a manager) came up and a girl (very nice) came up to help and he said " I'm just trying to get him out the door". Thank goodness for ***'s and Bass Pro as I will not go one of these stores again. the store I went to was in Oldsmar, FL

This is the first letter of this type I have ever written. I felt that If I didn't write this letter I would explode. I am very angry with your business at this time. Yesterday, I scheduled a block of my busy day aside to stop in your Gander Mountain, Southridge Center, Charleston WV store to pick up the "Electric Smoker for $79" I saw in your Black Friday advertisement. This was clearly posted on the back page of the advertisement. I stopped in the store and was advised by the store clerk that the Electric Smokers were not available, only the gas smoker had been shipped to them. I was under the impression that if something was advertised, then the store should have had at least one of the smokers in stock. I was advised that none of the advertised electric smokers for $79 had been received in the store. The sales associate told me that he could most likely order me one online. I ask if he would honor the $79 sale pice, he said he would ask his manager. After about five minutes, he came back and advised me that the electric smoker was NOT available online either. This is clearly a case of false advertisement. It is illegal to advertise something that your are not selling, just to get people into your store. This is a very unfair and unethical practice and I am very disappointed that your organization stoops to such shady and illegal business practices. The electric smoker was clearly advertised in your Black Friday Ad, there was NEVER any of the advertised Electric Smokers delivered to your store, the Electric Smoker is not available to be ordered online, is this clearly not a case of FALSE Advertisement? The whole point was to get you into the store. Now you know.

It used to be the old "bait and switch" game, but now it is just "bait and hope." People are suspicious and tend to get really mad when the product they saw advertised in not available, but it just so happens that a similar one is available, tho for a higher price. Now they just get you into the store with an ad for something at a low price and then say it is not available. Period. No rainchecks.

Sorry. But, feel free to look around the store at our other great deals.

Best to shop at stores that don't pull this stunt. Good luck.

We just received the WORST customer service ever!! Bought a pair of youth waders for a Christmas present and they were broken when the recipient opened them. Returned them and could only receive in store credit. Bought another pair online to pick up at store and an hour later the order was canceled by you guys!! Now apparently we can't access the store credit for 7-10 days! Let's not forget this was a Christmas present of all things, which has now come and gone....RIDICULOUS!! I will NEVER buy anything from Gander Mountain again!!!

My experience with Gander Mountain, both in-store and online in Montgomery, AL has been terrible. My first visit into Gander Mountain in Montgomery Alabama was December 2014 in which condition I was shopping for a hand held GPS unit to help me cut a property line through some brush and for various other things. After being in the store for 3 hours, the retail store and manager finally figured out how to turn the dang unit on. After another hour of no one in the store being able to demonstrate how the product worked, I settled for a compass for 19.99 (which has worked great). Fast forward to August 8th, a family member called this location to verify a certain game camera was in-stock so she could come by and purchase it; she lives over an hour away and the associate confirmed they had it. After arriving, she was told that they did not have it in stock, and as a matter of fact they had no fitting the criteria in stock (cellular game camera).So while in the store, she ordered the only one they could get online from Gander Mountain which was a cool $250 more dollars. She was lied too and told she would also need to purchase an SD Card (this camera came with a free card) and had to pay overnight shipping in order to not wait 7-10 business days (my birthday was on the 11th and she wanted to give it to me on my birthday...obviously). After paying for overnight shipping, the camera arrived on the 14th, (yeah, not overnight I know). I placed the Spypoint Live3g (that was purchased total for around $650.00) in the woods on the 21st, and on the 22nd the batteries were dead. So I called Gander Mountain in Montgomery AL to verify if they had the solar panel for this camera in stock, which they said they did. However, upon arriving at the store and waiting another hour, retail associates could not find the solar panel. As a matter of fact, the same retail manager that tried to help me the first time also helped me this time and felt so bad she gave me like a 30% discount on batteries for the camera. I also purchased the solar panel which we had to order online from Gander Mountain while in the store. That evening I go to my brand spanking new, $650 Spypoint Live3G camera to put more batteries in it, and it no longer comes on...completely dead, new batteries and all. So I called Gander Mountain in Montgomery that evening and told them my dilemma; I was given this camera for my birthday, I no longer have the box, and the friend who purchased it for me, cannot find the receipt. All she did have was her order confirmation from Gander Mountain that they emailed to her when she purchased the camera. So I now proceed back to Gander Mountain for the 3rd time ever to swap the camera out. After 1.5 hours in the Montgomery Alabama location, they finally find the "product number" to refund and Gander Mountains system states they sell the camera for only $350 (yeah, that’s $300 less than what my friend paid less 30 days prior). After arguing and threatening to call whomever that will listen, the lady changes the price (to what the order confirmation receipt from Gander Mountain stated that Gander Mountain sold my friend the camera for), they issued me a gift card for that amount and all is well. Not so fast my friend! On August 29th, I find a different camera on Gander Mountains online site, the Covert Blackhawk cellular game camera, call in, speak to an associate and order the camera. She did state that the camera would need to be shipped straight from the manufacturer and that it could "take 2 weeks." Fine. Well, she lied, and I have come to expect this now out of Gander Mountain. Today, September 16, 2015 I call Gander Mountain customer service to check the status, after all, it’s been 2.5 weeks. Guess what, this new very nice young lady tells me my camera was on back order, and it will be October 2, 2015 before it ships and it could take 7-10 days from that day; all total 1.5 months for Gander Mountain to get an almost $400 game camera to me. The associate I purchased the camera from on August 29, 2015 made zero mention about back order; else I would have ordered a different camera. Gander Mountain stinks; save yourself time and stress, you can get better service from even Walmart. I will never shop at Gander Mountain again, and I will certainly tell everyone I know to not get bamboozled by this rag-tag company. Signed, disgusted FORMER customer.
